Verification of the Differences in Skills between Excellent Squash Players of East Asia and Those of Korea
Kim Woo-Cheol

Abstract
This study aims to provide the coaches with data by searching for scientific and systematic methods of training with a view to helping the Korean players to increase their playing abilities, by finding out the technical factors of becoming champions, after analyzing and examining the causes of victory or defeat in terms of the occupation of the use of skills and the defeats caused by the types of skills and the kinds of winning shots in the singles of the players of Korea, Malaysia, Hongkong and India. The descriptive statistics were conducted by using SPSS/PC+ statistical package, and T-test was also conducted to compare the four kinds of factors of the skill occupation, frequency of failures, winning shots, and lay down points of the players of Korea and Malaysia. Looking at the training programs of the Korean players, some difficulty in appraising the squash sports as a kind of elite sports is admitted because of the somewhat complexity of the coordination ability of skills, but they are carried out directly and indirectly according to the results of the training of simple motions of skills rather than by the training of the applied skills of coaches through the monotonous training programs in the training so far. Of course, it is thought to be the result of the situation that no proper measures to train the players properly have been presented in the programs for the players. It is considered to be necessary to make new training programs by subdividing and supplementing the programs as a part of the training programs for the Korean squash payers.
